International Protection Group (IPG)

International Protection Group (IPG) comprises a highly specialized team of professionals that provide the best individual and/or group protection at every turn. From safe and secure ground transportation to personal protection (bodyguard) services locally, nationally and on a worldwide basis (in more than 50 countries to date), IPG delivers comprehensive, high-level security solutions.

IPG is headquartered in New York City and was founded by CEO Jerry Heying who has more than 30 years of protection experience. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Personal Protection Specialist (PPS) and a well-known security and executive protection instructor.

Mr. Heying also founded and operates the well-respected International Protective Service Agency, a company that provides security officers and other security services to some of the most prestigious hotels, retail locations, luxury condo residences and Class A high-rise office buildings in New York City.

IPG professional memberships include the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), Academy of Security Educators and Trainers (ASET), Nine Lives Associates (NLA), International Special Events Society (ISES), American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET), National Association of Investigative Specialists (NAIS), Police Marksman Association (PMA), and several others.

Executive Protection Institute (EPI)

At this moment, graduates of the Executive Protection Institute are personally protecting hundreds of military and government leaders, business and religious executives, families and celebrities. EPI, founded by Dr. Richard Kobetz, has set the standard for personal protection in today's world.

Dr. Richard Kobetz is the innovator and pioneer of modern personal protection. He founded EPI in 1978 after a celebrated career in law enforcement, including assignment by the International Association of Chiefs of Police to develop and conduct training programs for the protection of public figures, SWAT operations, and counter-terrorism programs.

He created a professional credential for the job - Personal Protection Specialist (PPS) - that was adopted by the State of Virginia, which now requires a PPS certificate for personal protection employment. EPI graduates receive immediate recognition in the security field for having distinguished themselves by receiving this invaluable credential upon graduation.
